About the artist

My name is Courtney Morgan and I am from Upstate, New York.

My first experience with music was a karaoke machine that my mom got me around the age of four and I quickly discovered Youtube karaoke in which I would spend hours a day singing.

I am a self-taught musician in guitar, some keys, and currently working on drums.

Although I did not grow up in the Church, I went through a prodigal season and early last year the Lord radically returned to me the joy of my salvation which led to restored purpose and eternal wisdom that goes far beyond my understanding.

Since, I have picked back up with songwriting and it has been a huge part of processing all that God has taught me through moments of rejection as the older brother responded (Luke 15:11-32), Church hurt, and loss of relationships that came to a great surprise to me. What I love about music is that it allows me to lament and share of the hope that Jesus has given me amidst some of the most deepest waters and trying times. Songs that reflect themes of hope, redemption, and eternal plans.

The Lord never promised that the narrow way would be easy, but He did promise to be be with us every step of the way!

As I look to get back into ministry and navigate that I have a deep trust that the Lord will restore all that was lost.

I have experience on several worship teams including leading during my time in college with a ministry I was part of, several years doing open mics and coffee shop gigs, private events, and design experience.

My background in music ranges from country to pop to Christian music. Some of my musical inspirations are Fleetwood Mac, NEEDTOBREATHE, and the Fray. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and I look forward to connecting with you!
